Nominations for this year’s inspirational women in mining have opened.

Women in Mining UK’s third edition of ‘Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining’ will showcase the contribution of women in the global mining industry and will seek to debunk a misconception that there is not a pipeline of talent coming through, MD Nichole McCulloch said on Monday.

“Sharing the success stories of women in mining is critical to attracting and retaining female talent in our industry,” she said, adding that the pipeline of female talent was growing and that there was a large number of inspirational women paving the way for the future of the industry.

The search is open to any woman working in the mining sector, including industries related to or supporting the industry.

Nominations are open until midnight on August 15.

The 2018 edition is being co-sponsored by BMO Capital Markets and the results will be announced in November.
