Former Kennecott COO appointed to Wheaton board
Mining streaming group Wheaton Precious Metals has appointed Jeane Hull, a mining executive with more than 35 years of operational leadership and engineering experience, to its board of directors.
Hull previously held the position of COO for Rio Tinto at the Kennecott Utah copper mine and was executive VP and chief technical officer for Peabody Energy.
She also held numerous management engineering and operations positions with Rio Tinto affiliates.
"I am excited to welcome Jeane Hull to Wheaton's board of directors. Ms. Hull brings a wealth of technical and operational experience that will no doubt make her an excellent addition to the Wheaton board," said chairperson George Brack.
With the addition of Hull, Wheaton has exceeded its stated diversity target of 30% female board members by 2024, with more than 40% of the board now female.
Besides Brack and Hull, the board comprises Jaimie Donovan, Peter Gillin, Chantal Gosselin, Glenn Ives, Charles Jeannes, Marilyn Schonberner and Randy Smallwood.
