Toronto-listed Sierra Metals has reached an agreement with residents from the town of Alis, following the blockade of the main access road to the Yauricocha mine, in Peru, the company reported on Wednesday.

The company is undertaking safety inspections and reviews to support the progressive restart of the operations at the mine.

It was not clear when the mine would reach its preproduction suspension production levels, Sierra said, noting that its production and financial guidance would remain suspended.
