Gold miner McEwen Mining has appointed Meri Verli as its CFO, replacing Andrew Elinesky, who left the company on Monday.

Verli has held several management roles in the mining sector, including the CFO of PPX Mining, senior VP finance and treasury at Kirkland Lake Gold and VP finance at Lake Shore Gold.

McEwen also appointed Goldcorp’s Jack Henris as general manager for Nevada. He has extensive experience in Nevada having worked at Newmont for 12 years and Barrick for nine years.

“I’m pleased to welcome these two experienced and accomplished individuals to the team at McEwen Mining. We are moving forward with a strong management team, who is focused on operational excellence,” commented chairperson and chief owner Rob McEwen.
