Tshipi é Ntle, South32 to mine barrier pillar between Tshipi, Mamatwan mines

Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, a subsidiary of ASX-listed Jupiter Mines, has signed an agreement with global diversified miner South32 to mine the barrier pillar between their respective manganese mines in the Northern Cape.

Tshipi owns and operates the Tshipi Borwa mine and South32 the Mamatwan mine.

The agreement becomes effective on August 1 and will expire on the date that ore mining has been completed by both parties and that respective rehabilitation obligations in each company’s mining area have been completed.

Tshipi é Ntle expects a 24-month ore extraction period.
