Emerging African phosphate producer Kropz sold a further 43 886 t of phosphate concentrate produced at the Elandsfontein mine, in South Africa's Western Cape, in April.

The Aim-listed company says it is pleased with the continuation of sales of phosphate concentrate produced at Elandsfontein.

The first bulk sale of product produced at the mine, of 30 000 t, was sold in January. This was followed by the sale of a further 20 000 t of phosphate concentrate in March.

Meanwhile, Kropz has also confirmed the third drawdown of funds under a new R285-million bridge loan facility entered into in March with its major shareholder African Rainbow Capital Fund.

The latest drawdown was for R30-million, and follows drawdowns of R25-million and R90-million in March.

In addition to the Elandsfontein mine, Kropz also owns the Hinda phosphate project in Congo-Brazzaville.
