PERTH (miningweekly.com) – First gold has been poured from the Agate Creek gold project, in north Queensland, ASX-listed Laneway Resources reported on Tuesday.

The first gold pour was achieved within ten weeks of the grant of a mining lease, and three dore bars collectively weighing 22 kg of gold and silver bullion have now been poured.

Gold mined from Agate Creek is being processed at Maroon Gold’s processing plant under a toll treatment agreement.

Laneway noted that processing rates at the project were currently some 15 t/h, and was expected to steadily increase to 25 t/h over the coming weeks. The final processing rates would be dependent on feed grades and ongoing metallurgical performance.
