The board of Russian diamond mining company Alrosa will consider the appointment of Pavel Marinychev for the position of CEO, following the planned resignation of Sergey Ivanov.
Marinychev oversees one of Alrosa’s main production units, Almazy Anabara.
He previously also served as first deputy chairperson of the Sakha (Yakutia) government, where he oversaw geology, subsoil use, industry, housing and utilities, energy, and construction for more than six years.
Ivanov has served as CEO of Alrosa since March 2017 and announced his resignation at the end of last year.
